New Policies Re: Mandatory Professional Development
February 23, 2019
Please be advised that the National Executive Council (NEC) has passed four new National Operational Policies (NOPs) regarding mandatory participation in the Continuing Professional Competency (CPC) program of
the Council of Professional Experience (CoPE).
The four new NOP’s can be found here:
- NOP 22 – Suspension and Reinstatement of CPHI(C) Credential
- NOP 23 – Professional Development Hours – Progressive Compliance Cycle
- NOP 24 – Professional Development Hours – Audit Results Appeal Process
- NOP 25 – Termination and Reinstatement of Membership – Maintaining Professional Development Hours
Compliance with the CPC program has been a requirement of maintaining a regular
membership since 2010. There was no immediate enforcement of this requirement while the
CPC program was in its infancy. A robust PDH audit system is now in place and CIPHI is
committed to enforcing mandatory professional development of all its regular members.
For more information, please see the FAQ titled “How Professional Development Hours Affect Eligibility for Regular Membership in CIPHI“
