Call for Volunteers

We are pleased to invite submissions for volunteers to the 2026 CIPHI National Annual Education Conference (AEC), taking place on August 16-19, 2026, in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador.

The CIPHI AEC is the largest event CIPHI holds for members and requires a significant contribution of volunteers to make the event a success. There are a variety of opportunities to contribute as outlined below. We are seeking dedicated volunteers who are passionate about environmental health and want to contribute to a worthy cause. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to help with a variety of tasks contributing to the success of the AEC!

Time commitment: AEC Planning Committee Meetings (Conference Co-chairs and Committee Chairs) are held biweekly, and as needed. Committee meetings are held at least biweekly or more frequently as the event approaches. Meetings will be held via Google Meet with other communications will be via telephone or email. It is anticipated that each month members of the committee will spend at least approximately five to ten hours on committee work, plus on-site support during the event. Flexibility in meeting times, committee work, and tasks will be required. Volunteer time does count towards your professional development hours!
