Each year CIPHI hosts the National Annual Education Conference for our members. The conference provides an opportunity for members to connect, learn, and network with colleagues from across Canada and beyond. In 2026 we are pleased to host the CIPHI National Annual Education Conference (AEC) from August 16 to August 19, 2026 at the Delta Hotels St. John’s Conference Centre, in St. John’s, NL.
This event supports the shared goal of the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI) to support the health and safety of all people. Environmental health is a critical discipline that encompasses a wide range of topics related to the health impacts of human interactions with the environment. The AEC contributes to advocacy, education, and professional competencies for environmental public health professionals and those with a vested interest in this field.

Travel Information
The City of St. John’s is home to the St. John’s International Airport. Flying time to St. John’s is about 1.5 hours from Halifax, 3.5 hours from Toronto, 6 hours from Calgary, and 5 hours from London.
If you would like to drive onto the island, there are two ferries from Nova Scotia arriving at either Port aux Basques (about a 9.5-hour drive away) or Argentia (about 1.5 hours away).
